Perth is right. I try to find a happy medium where I don't bottom out my rim or have the tye fold to the side easily, but soft enough to hop comfortably with. I just pump the tyre up fairly hard and play around then let a bit of air out and so on and so forth until you're happy. I call it trials and error! You see what I did there?! Ha ha! 🙂

Force over area means that the pressure for one size tire is different fro another. Example: I have a 24 inch tire and it says 40 psi reccomended. Your 20 may say something else, and his 29 will be much higher.
