  1. RE: TdF

Well it looks like it will be Basso or Jan in second. Is there enough race
left for Jan to make up so much time? It will be tough. I hope he gets it.
That will be the exciting part of this years tour I guess. That and
    watching the crazy drunk fans.

Between the remaining Alpine stages and the Besançon time trial, I believe
that Ullrich will add a whole new meaning to "racing for second place."

    -Sonarrat.

  3. I am afraid the one that could have a bad time to hold the podium is Basso.
Kloden is fully capable of putting a couple of minutes on Basso
in the long TT. Jan will make minced meat out of tender Ivan ( he could be
good material for Weiswurst if they were Bavarian). Now how is USP going to
pay CSC back for the favours received? Maybe we´ll see tomorrow 🙂.

  4. Never a two man race till it's over. Lots could happen. All it takes is
for one dumb fan to stick a flag into a wheel and it could be over for
someone. One mishap, one serious mechanical, a case of the flu or your
choice of problem and it's a new race.

This is true. I would like to see Jan at least come in second. If Lance
has no problems, I suspect he will win this tour and most likely the next
TdF as well. He sure is driven and the crazy fans seem to have a positive
effect on him...especially the ones that boo him.
