1. Is it normal when you are on the big ring and the largest cog....if you try to switch to the smaller ring for the chain to want to fall off the bottom?
2. my rear derailleur won't shut the hell up. The entire drive train is ultegra. I do not have sloppy shifts or problems with losing the chain. I also made sure the derailleur is aligned....I pushed it over by hand and also adjusted the barrel adjuster....the noise does not change.....however if I am in the big ring up front and the lower I go in the back the louder the noise gets. I think I have faulty pulleys........

1. You shouldn't run the big ring/big cog combonation. It's called cross-chaining and it's bad for your chain, cogs, etc.. That being said you should be able to adjust the inboard stop on your front derailleur to prevent the chian from falling off when you drop the chain down from the big ring.
2. I doubt you have "faulty pulleys". Sounds like the cable tension on your rear derailleur is just not adjusted properly. Try turning your barrel adjuster clockwise until the noise stops. Sounds like you might have too much cable tension and your chain is trying to move up to the next cog. That's why it's quieter as you come down the cog stack.
