I do not understand what your point is!
There is not much choce here!
If you load up your touringbike, the weight of the gear will increse the pressur on the tire. So a higher pressure in the tubes is nessesary in order not to damage the tire/tube/wheel! It will also mean that the tire will fend of objects that could penetrate the tire easier.
But I see no reason to run higher pressure than recomended by the manufacturer.
I prefere to use Schwalbe Marathon HS308 1,75" wide tires on my 26" wheels because they can take 5 bar. With a narrow profile they roll easier than the Continental TopTouring and are also more puncture resistant!
