Recently I retubed a friends bike. 27x1 1/8. BUT, the tubes were way
too large dia, so I took them back for replacement. The bike store guy told
me 'it happens', sold me new tubes and they were also too big, so I folded
them over like he said.
What I think is this. The tubes are all made in PRC. In PRC they ride
alot of the old style euro 28" bikes. So they are simply relabeling and
marketing 28" tubes as 27".
Anyone want to clear this up, and maybe tell me where I can get real 27"
dia tubes?
Thanks.

close enough to work just fine. Make sure you get the right width.1"~23c 1 1/8~25c 1 1/4~28c or therebouts.

The ones I've been getting lately are marked 700X 28-38 / 27"X 1 1/4".
