  1. I finally got all the parts for my TT rig. Last night I was trying to dial into my position. At home and on the trainer. I specifically looked for to see how flat my back is and how stretched out I am. At the moment the fit looks OK. Back is completely flat. Elbows are around 45 degree so that I can reach out more to the aero bar.

There is a 2 inches of space between my elbows and my knees when my knees are in the up stroke. My knees just reach the height of my elbows. I am currently using a 110mm stem with 0 degree rise. Should I use a shorter stem with a steeper angle? Would that bring my elbows closer to my knees and my knees would be higher than my elbow in the up stroke? If so, is the change better?? Or shoter stem == less stretch out? A humped back?

  2. What I suggest (if you want anonymous online advice) is to get someone to take a side view picture of yourself on the bike on the trainer, with the leg (on the side of the bike facing the person holding the camera) at the bottom of the pedal stroke. And then post your picture on the slowtwitch.com triathlon/mulitsport forum with the message caption "critique my position". I guarantee that you will get more feedback than you ever wanted.

It is hard for me to know exactly how you look on your bike based on your description.
