  1. There appears to be a delicate balance between optimal aerodynamic positioning and power. In a time trial last weekend, I believe I was the victim of severe power loss by getting too low in my positioning. Here's my question; I know the answer is technically the function of hundreds of different variables, but in general, for you time trialists out there, what is the vertical measurement between your top of saddle and the top of your aero bar armrest pads that you have found to give the best results? I just want to see if I'm even in the ballpark.

    Thanks

  2. 12" (as shown) was a bit much...

... but a mere 9" was much better. More relaxed and less prone to give the feeling that ones testicles were being forced into your diaphram...

I was messing around with bar position to get the 'drops' low enough for an upcoming hilly event but even with the tri-bars being angled down a little it was still a little too low.
