  1. I am posting this to the mountain bike groups as well but thought I would give it a try here too.

Just planning a ride for later this summer.

Does anyone know what the bridleway going up from Troutbeck along the side of Park Fell and joining
the Kentmere Horseshow short of Thornthwaite crag is like? (Roman Road off High Street). I'm fine
when I'm on the top bridleway heading towards High Street but not sure if the lower section would be
ridable (i.e. not loads of steps). There seems to be a track going most of the way to the last wall
which just leaves 1km. Not a problem if it isn't ridable as it's only a short carry but would just
    like to know.

    Cheers

    Andy

It's a lovely pleasant route Andy until you are faced with an horde of bikers descending
    at speed ;-)

My legs are much to knackered for even thinking about cycling up there but for the majority I don't
    think theres any problem.

"BEWARE OF WALKERS THOUGH".............lol Dave All Wainwrights completed 74 Walks......763
miles......approx 200,000' of ascent to complete. At Heysham looking across Morecambe Bay to the
    Cumbrian Fells

  3. "BEWARE OF WALKERS THOUGH".............lol

Thanks for that. Its amazing when I'm out on my bike those stupid walkers are always getting in the
way of a good downhill section but when I'm out for a nice walk I always get some idiot coming up
behind me at break neck speeds on a mountain bike!!!

Don't get me started when I'm out for a nice sail on Windermere!!!

    Cheers for the info.

And why do folk walk in my ski tracks ruining my return trip?

    Enjoy getting your bones shaken,,,
