  1. 32 Miles the other day!! (That's LONG for me, plus I averaged >15mph!!)

Anyway, I had my first flat EVER! Then, about three miles later, my
    second flat EVER!!

(And, before you say it, I DID find the first pokey-thing, and removed
    it.)

I was just wondering two things:

    1. If you've ridden this trail, is it known for burrs/etc., causing
    lots of flats?

    and

    2. Specialized Airlock tires?? Any thoughts/comments on these?

    TIA!

I have seen more broken Zima bottles on this trail that anywhere else in the
world. Is the stuff really that bad? Or are Zima drinkers so disgusted
they've bought the product that they just have a need to smash the bottle
somewhere? One time, I even took a whisk broom and swept the trail all
around the Stockyards area whenever I saw another pile of glass. I think a
lot of homeless types hang out near the trail sometimes. I have personally
seen two or three guys with their grocery carts full of their belongings
    asleep in the park.

  4. Just get some thicker tires. I have had similar problems on tha t trail.

I ride about 6000 miles a year and use the Specialized Armadillo tires. (get
the 700x25's the 23cm ones are a bit of a rough ride). These are just about
bombproof. I have never had a flat with these tires.
