Hi all,
I'm thinking of doing a triathlon next month. I have a Trek 7.2 FX hybrid. My question is, would i be mad to attemt to do the bike stage of the race on this? Would it be advisable to put tri bars on the bike?? Or would be best to get a road bike?
Thanks for your help in advance.

For a "first tri" best to use the bike you know and are comfortable with. However some faster 23mm tyres may improve your bike time. 😉
Later, if you decide to compete regularly, a road/tri bike would be good. Tri bars, only when you are confident on the new bike.
