Has anyone ever seen one of these? I mean to buy in a store or online? I have been looking and not seen one yet. This one is about 13 years old and has been in storage for 12. It has room in the zipper compartment for a few items. It is very slim, and when not over stuffed doesn't even extend much beyond the width of the bike bars.
But the coolest thing about it is that it has a contoured metal bar sewn inside that fastens up against the frame of the bike with the velcro closures... and accross the bottom is a soft padded strap, like a backpack strap, which you can use to shoulder the bike for lifting to carry over obstacles or terrain that is absolutely too rough to ride over. Like say for instance, deep water, super loose sand, or a railroad track in the middle of your path.
I assume that since the design of men's bicycles has changed and it is rarer to find one like mine in the picture, that they probably no longer manufacture this type bag. But if anyone knows of anyplace that sells them please let me know. This one wont last forever and a replacement source would be nice.
I was going around to name brand cylce sites everywhere looking at their gear bags trying to find one that way. Well, Duh... just go to a search engine, type in the key words "bicycle, triangle and bag and here it is... I have answered my own query. http://www.iawathletics.com/mall/Specials2.asp Better save that to my faves for future reference. The tringle bag is one of my favorite accessories.
Damn that wind! Right now its so loud outside here it sounds just like rain... and icy cold too. Yep, it gets cold in Texas. Maybe not to the degree it does further north. But dont let anyone fool you into thinking it is always warm. 🙂
