  1. The new Emonda is very enticing with its spec's. Just needs rim brake options as I am old school.

I think the Emonda's all come with CF rims, and because they do, rim brakes don't work as well as disk brakes do at stopping CF wheels, in addition to that rim brakes on CF wheels have a tendency to heat the rims too much and they can delaminate causing failure of the rim, which could be painful.

    So if you really like that bike, then you need to learn to like disk brakes too.

    I think the Emonda ALR4 has aluminum wheels, that bike doesn't need disk brakes unless you do a lot riding in the rain, but unfortunately they don't give you an option for rim brakes.
