Trek Bruiser crank bolt

Blue Loctite is commonly used by bike mechanics. It certainly won't do
any harm.

That would be fine if you are sure the crank is on properly (sufficiently
wedged up the spindle). I would get an adapter for the torque wrench to
make sure.
