  1. I'd like to say hello to everyone since i am new here. I just purchased a used TREK fx 7.5. When it was shipped to me the handle bar was off the bike among other things. I installed the pedals back, the seat post, when it came to the handle bar it seemed to have a black cylindrical sleve that could not figure out where to put. I know there is something wrong since there is a huge head shake on the bike. Any sugestions. Is there anything i can do my self since im pretty handy or am i better off taking it to a bike shop..

  2. Sounds like a spacer. These come in a variety of sizes and there ma be sevefal insalled on your bike. This should slide onto the steerer tube below your stem. See the attached picture; spacers are the ones with the arrow pointing to them.
