Can get a TREK 6500 (shimano Deore, RockShox Pilot XC) for around $750. http://www.trekbikes.com/bikes/2004/mountain/6500e.jsp
What's your comment on this bike, or are there any other bikes for this price that are better?
Is this bike suitable for:
Once a week thourough mountainbiking and 3 times a week normal 15 miles a day usage, or should i take a look at less expensive bikes?

I would get the Kona. IMO it more bike for the money. You can,t go wrong with the Trek or either of these two.

only prob is that the Tassajara is also $750 in my country and has the exact same specs as the TREK. But thanx for the advise (comferting to know the TREK is ok!)
STAY WITH THE TREK 6500, THIS BIKE IS A GOOD BUY FOR THE WEEKEND RIDER AND AS YOUR RIDING ADVANCES YOU WONT HAVE TO INVEST MUCH WITH THE UPGRADES
Just bought the TREK 6500 Ball Burnished/Black...........................................have to wait for three weeks!!🙁 😠
