I'm thinking of buying this bike from Trek and I'm looking for any info on the bike. How is the component group, wheelset, etc. Any upgrades I should consider keeping a limited budget in mind? I will be training and riding tris on this bike.

I have the 2006 Trek 1500 and I love it. The Bontrager Select tires that come with it are [censored] but otherwise I have been very happy with it.
