I have a Trek 1000 that I want to upgrade with a carbon fiber
fork. What should I look for? Threaded/Non-Threaded? Size?

Hi there!
It depends what style of fork you currently have. From a quick look at the Trek website, the last couple of models of the Trek 1000 are threadless. It depends what model you have though. If the stem is attached to a pole coming out of the bike, you want a threadless fork. If not, you want it threaded. The threaded style is generally the older style. As for size, not knowing the size of your current fork, you would probably be after a 1" or 1 1/8" steerer tube.
Hope I've helped! 🙂
