I have a old Treck 7000 with an aluminum frame. The frame
is supposedly bonded together with adhesives.
Have there been any problems with this frame or
technology?

I wouldn't expect any problems with those frames whatsoever; they were built
like a tank! We sold a lot of them, and as far as I know, we didn't have a
single customer find a way to kill one (which is impressive, given the

I dented the downtube about the width of the tube and half the tube deep
on my trek 7000, never had any problems with the bonding though. Good
sold Lite frame.-n
