    Bill,

After reading your post on rec.running on "Treadmill vs Elliptical Trainer", I went out to my local
Sears and tried one out. I was, to say the least, impressed with it's "kick ass" workout. I had been
mulling over the possibility of getting a high dollar treadmill to supplement my running when the
weather outside gets nasty. For the last 17 yrs, I would just tough it out and bundle up when the
rain/snow/sleet started flying. But now being older, I wanted another alternative but never could
warm up to the idea of a treadmill. We ended up buying the NordicTrack 980 and are very pleased with
it. You're right, we tried the lesser expensive machines and they just didn't measure up. The
NordicTrack is industrial quality. So, thanks for the idea and excellent advice.
