Treadmill belts, to lube or not to lube ?

I have a proform j8li (19x55) treadmill and the owners manual states ,
Use no lubrication on the belt.

So is this true ? It's also about time for a new belt, should I buy a
new OEM from Sears or an aftermarket from like treadmill doctors where
they come with lube and need it every 6 months ?

I guess what I'm asking is the proform OEM permanently lubed belt as
good as the replacements that need lube ?

Somehow, I suspect you already walk funny, dontcha? You have that walk
that says you spend too much time on your hands and knees.
