I had a mechanical tredmill, then switched to a motorized one because it was too noisy. I got a
Weslo Cadence at WalMart in '97 for about $190 and am still with it. The narrowness of belt is an
issue, though. A better Weslo model is about $450, still not so expensive. If you're going to use
one a lot, you may have to invest in more $$$ and get one with automatic lubrication.
While exercising, I find it best to sort of meditate and look out the window.
