  1. hey, I'm a newbie here. I ride a Y2K Specialized Hardrock FS. I pulled my bike out of the cellar a month ago and noticed that it had a whole bunch of little chips in the upper bar of the frame. I think its due to throwing the bike into station wagons and trunks of cars.

I was curious If their is some way to hide/cover these chips, or would the only possibility be to replace the frame?

  2. Is it purely cosmetic damage or will it affect the integrity of the frame? if it's cosmetic, you can have it professionally repainted (but on a HardRock, I'd just suck it up). If it weakens the frame, repalce it.

I think its just cosmetics for right now. I guess I'll have to live with it for the time being.

luckily my dad's just got a bike rack for his car, so I can transport it with that. 😄
