  1. Hello, everyone.

I am an Infantry soldier currently deployed overseas in Iraq. I am
lucky enough to be stationed in at a nice Forward Operating Base (or
FOB as we call it). We are well equipped with a gym, a very filling
chow hall, and plenty of space to run around.

My question to anyone who can help is: I am interested in getting
into Triathlons and am already in shape enough to ride and run. I can
work on swimming when I am back home, but in the mean time, I can work
the muscle groups that are used during that event. What is it I
should do to progress fast and prepare for when I get home in a year
+/- 5 months? I am speaking in terms of conditioning and diets.

    Thank you,
    Paul
