Yesterday I downloaded the cyclist's diary -- it was great to log in the

there's

My question is: I'm looking for a training schedule like the one they sent
with

one

Thanks, Priscilla
If you're evaluating software for tracking your training, you might be interested in my CycliStats
program (cyclistats.comcyclistats.comOpen ↗). It tracks all of your basic ride data, plus bicycle maintenance
and your personal health statistics (weight, resting heart rate, body fat, etc.).
It was recently reviewed by cycling author Fred Matheny on the roadbikerider.com website, where he
gave it 4 stars (out of 5). See roadbikerider.compr8.htmOpen ↗ for his review.
I can't help with your training goals question, but recommend you consider either Fred Matheny's
"Complete Book of Road Bike Training" (roadbikerider.comrbt excerpt.htmOpen ↗), or "The
Complete Book of Long Distance Cycling" by Ed Burke, et al (amazon.com102Open ↗

In general, start slow and don't try to increase distance or speed too rapidly. Listen to your body,
and make sure you drink enough water or sports drink while riding. The good news is...when you're
first starting out, your improvements tend to be dramatic, which helps a lot with motivation.
Best of luck in '04.
