  1. Hello All

I'm cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats in the UK in May. Its a 7 day trip so its 140 miles a day, more or less. I'm a reasonably fit 27 year old who cycles a few miles to work every day.

I did a trip last year that was 85-90 miles a day, which I didn't do any training for. I don't think I can be so lazy for a 140 miles a day trip though, so does anyone have any advice on how much training I should do? Are there any training schedules I could download?

It'd be difficult to do more that one or two evenings during the week so I'd pretty much be limited to the weekends.

Any help would be much appreciated!

  2. Hi. I can't help you with training advice for such a schedule but I can help with resources you may find helpful for LEJOG route planning and other general advice adn links to other LEJOG travelogues and useful sites. I have also made available GPS files for my route and uploaded it onto an Online Mapping tool for your own use. See the website below for assistance.

  3. Thanks, I've actually already read through your website as part of my research! Very useful.
