  1. Anyone got any training tips for increasing my breakaway performance and final sprint. I understand that these are very different things and therefore will entail different types of training.
    Any help would be great.

  2. It is easy to develop the method for training each cycling performance trait. Just analyse what sort of effort would be required to acheive either.
A breakaway will consist usually of an effort approaching a short sprint to establish a gap followed by an extended effort at around the threshold (varying from just below threshold to just above depending on how far you have to go). So you can train this by doing short sharp sprints in sets and efforts to match those you expect to make in the race.
