  1. I'm looking to build up a training bike. I for sure want Chorus on it. I'm undecided on the frame type though. I'm split just about 50/50 on carbon or aluminum. I have a Giant aluminum frame at home but it's nothing special really. Do I want something worse for a training bike? What kind of accessories (bars, stem, etc.) should I put on it. Wheels? Help me out guys.

I would go for fit, comfort, reliability, and value (somewhat in that order). To that end Centaur or Veloce would be sufficient (perhaps with Chorus shifters).

  3. Does everyone here usually use their race day bike for training too? Do you just change out some things like wheels and other important parts depending if you're racing or training?
