  1. I am about to peak my training for a long ride coming up in a few weeks. I have just developed a pretty nasty bout of bronchitis. Should I push ahead with my training plans with a risk that the bronchitis will get worse, or take it easy for a while and be undr-prepared for the ride?

  2. Take some days off until your symptoms are completely gone. Its useless trying to train with that kind of illness as it will only make it worse. Listen to your body and it will love you for it.

Do you have a fever? If not, you're probably ok to do some easy training sessions and somewhat train through the bronchitis. Just listen to your body at the same time, and make sure you're getting enough rest and that you're eating properly.

  4. Sorry to hijack this thread, but I have a somewhat similar "problem." I just had some minor oral surgery (wisdom teeth removed, if you must know), and I'm supposed to avoid physical activity for 6 days to adequately heal.

    The question is:
    1. Could I go for some light spins after a couple days without delaying recovery too much?

    2. If I must be off the bike for this time, how what (if any) detrimental effects should I expect to experice? Will this period be short enough to not be very "harmful?"
