I'm buying my first trainer, could use some input.
I have no room to use rollers, and my neighbors would not appreicate a wind trainer. Which brings it down to magnetic or fluid. What is the difference, and what are the pros and cons? Also, is it worth the money to buy a name like Cyclops, or will a Nashbar or Performance Bike brand do just as well?

I have a performance brand trainer that is fluid. I believe, but am not sure but I think the fluid trainer makes less noise. The cylinder does get hot though. It works fine, if I want more resistance I shift to a higher gear. But no matter what I would still rather drink acid then use the thing. I hope you have better motivation then I.

I got the Computrainer from www.computrainer.com it's a bit pricey but it's a lot better than my windtrainer and is less boring.
