I am looking at buying a trainer for winter to help with my perfromance. I am looking at the cycleops fluid 2 and Kurt Kinetic. I was just wondering what you guys would recommend, I have never owned a trainer or been on one before. thanks

I have the Cycle-ops and would highly recommend it. Much harder than magnetic trainers. In fact, in fact I was doing a warm-up at a race this weekend and used a Cycle-ops magnetic. It was much easier, though great for spinning. If you're looking for a more releastic road feel, get a fluid trainer.

I've enjoyed trouble-free use from my Kinetic Road Machine since getting it last Fall. I considered both and went with the Kinetic for the bigger flywheel and leak-free design.
