  1. Hey everyone. Went to TrailRunning Mag (web site) and to USTrailerRunner to
glance are the schedules....to my surprise I did not see a single event taking
place in the NE U.S. for all of Nov. & Dec.

I am sure that does not reflect the trailrunning events taking place in the NE.
Is there a central place on line a person can go to see what's taking place
within the trailrunning community in the NE?

Why don't the publications list events on their calanders of what's taking
place in the NE? Trail running community of RD's....do they simply treat this
stuff as small localized events or something not worthy of having noted on a
    national calander?

I realize we're at the onset of Winter...but I gotta figure some trailrunning
is taking place in PA, CT, NJ, & NY in Nov. and Dec....no? How does one keep
up to speed w/trail running events in the NE? (yahoo board? a particular
    site?)

    Thanks!

Lance best place to look is http://www.run100s.com/races.htm There are
two in November. If you looking for a 100 go up a notch on the web page.
    😉

    Another great place is http://www.newenglandtrailrunner.com/

    their ear.....

I love my trails but once the snow and ice hit you're basically screwed.
If you want to stay on the trails you go with snow shoes or skiis. If
the ice is not too bad you put screws in your shoes and give it hell.

    How does one keep

Most of us ignore speed and simply use the winter to return to base and
power. Where are you going to race fast around here without causing
injury? As much as I dislike it, I return to the roads in the winter.
