Just browsing ebay, as one does, and came across a couple of these trailer
thingies "Bicycle Bike Trailer - Jogger Combo 2 in 1 NEW Seats: 2" From
Germany, so postage is a tenner or so, but the two I've found are both going
for a pound at the mo, so for all you parent type things out there, this
could be your chance!
They look the business, properly made and all that, but it's always hard to
tell from pix.
Having done a quick search after reading the OP, I followed some links to
this page:

Not in English, but there are three films with the left-hand one looking
like an executive summary of a trans-europe ride including one trail that
rises to over 3,400m!
The trailer looks like it could be an answer both for the weekly shop as
well as expeds!

I just came across the same site, searched to see if anyone had posted
it here and lo and behold you did already. Here's the English version

If the trailer is as good as the videos then it would seem to be an
