Hi, I have recently purchased a second hand Ammaco "Trail-a-bike" for my 4 year old son. The hitch to my bike will only pivot in one plane (up and down) with no side to side movement at all. On looking on the Adams website and several others it appears that all the other Trail-a-bikes will move both up&down and side to side. I have not tried connecting it up yet as I need to change my seat stem but I wondered if anyone had any experience of these products and their pivot arrangements.

the connection between the bracket and the trailer bike swivels up and down, and the bracket itself swivels around your seat post...

Thanks for the response - This one seems to have a clamp that fixes to the seat post and therefore will not rotate - only move up & down on the other pivot - not a great idea for easy cornering I fear! I have looked in a few shops and some are as you say - anyone tried the Giant Halfwheeler - it looks a bit lighter beimg ali
