I did a track training session on Saturday down at Herne Hill and I have to say how surprised I am at the results at the end of it.
Although I've done a lot of cycling over the last couple of years, I had never yet done anything to the intensity of the track session. The high tempo of the session really showed what it's all about.
What I learnt was how important it is to train hard at this high tempo and even though it was initially uncomfortable to cycle at this level of training, the feeling at the end of the session was great.
What I also find difficult is maintaining this level of intensity when training by oneself. So I guess I just got to keep going to track sessions.
