What is the best best material for a stem on a track bike. I use Nitto metal handle bars. What stem do you recomend? (Threadless)

You should ask this question in the track forum 😉
In any case, either alu or steel should be fine, as long as it's not flyweight. Are you a big, powerful rider? The answer depends on that also. BTW, since Nitto bars are typically 25.4 you are limited to pretty much using Nitto stems. Although you might be able to use Deda or ITM with a shim to make up the difference. FWIW, I use an ITM adjustable stem with their 330 bars. The adjustable is good for getting just the right drop, and also good if you do TT or pursuit events on the same frame. The stem is alu, but it's quite heavy and rugged. -
