I will be checking out a pretty decent night of racing on Wednesday
at the local university that includes a lot of local elites and Kenyans
that do a lot of training around here. I am friends with a few of them;
in fact I talked a little to Henry Githuka today while he was lazing
around at a local running store. I will bring my work cameras and get
some shots. It should be pretty exciting to see! I am also excited to
see Danny Kassap, a young newcomer to the Toronto race scene
who has been running well recently. I saw him at a recent 10k and
his form was awesome. Here's the schedule:
The meet will begin at 7:30 with the all-comers 1500,
registration begins at 6:30. At 9:00 pm there will be
section one of the Elite 1500 meters (for individual with
times under 3:50). Section two will go at 9:10 with the
10,000 meter race going at 9:30 pm.
