This morning's sunny - but very cold - walk was up to Grey Friar from Troutal, in the Duddon Valley (that's near Birks Bridge Sherran!). The skies may have been blue, but as soon as I got to the wind tunnel that is Seathwaite Tarn, there was an icy blast which lasted throughout the walk. The view to the Sca Fells is magnificent from here, especially on such a clear day. Photo's are posted:
