  1. Geltsdale & Cold Fell 2-day backpack report/photos uploaded from Saturday and Sunday.

    A short backpack designed as a recovery trip after the epic exertions of the coast-to-coast.
    Geltsdale fitted the bill well but the climb of Cold Fell from this side was even harder than
    expected from a previous visit.

    Hi Geoff,

    Great TR.. You have just connected up all my dog walks into a two day
    backpack.... I was the other side of the Gelt this morning!
    Tomorrow I'm going to park at Jockey Shield and go up Kelky Fell and
    Simmerson Hill... I have to be at work in Carlisle at 1.00pm... :-{
    I often go to Old Water from Jockey Shield and then follow the track/road
    back...
    We NEVER go to Talkin Tarn because it is sadly full of blue-green algae.....

    You made my mind up to take the dog up Cold Fell at the weekend!

    Cheers,
    MalJ
