Garnedd Ugain 2-day backpack report & photos uploaded from Thursday and Friday.
A good trip around the mountains South of Llanberis. At almost 3500 feet, Garnedd Ugain was still capped with a very thin covering of snow and ice. The wind hasn't quite done with us yet - although a lot less ferocious than a few days ago it was still strong enough to blow our half-full backpacks down the slopes at the tent pitch. Mynydd Drws-y-coed looked like a volcano in the evening sky against the sinking sun.

Thanks Bill. Actually the train did rattle up to Halfway station and the guy got out and started walking up the track and inspecting it, just as we were climbing towards Llechog. Anyway he returned and took the train back down, so no arguments about trespassing on the railway, as the notices declare.
