If you were on Schiehallion today please let me start with
an apology, not only did we take up half the car park, we
had 3 Elvis look-a-likes and a number of Viking warriors
climbing the hill ! It was the annual company charity hill
climb and this year we had 34 people successfully summit on
Schiehallion raising about £5000 for the National Autistic
Society. Well Done to all my colleagues and their families
who attended, most of whom were on a hill for the first time
ever. Ages ranged from 6 years old to almost 60 and all had
a great time ~ we even made some other walkers on the hill
smile as well !
For the record, the new John Muir Trust footpath from the
car park makes this hill even easier by taking a slightly
longer but less steep approach to the ridge.
