My Wainwright Society 'Great Lakeland Challenge' nomination was for the
Caw walk in the Outlying Fell book. A great walk this, Caw commands
attention from the valley below due to its rough, pyramidal shape. The
walk from Seathwaite is a lot more gentle than it appears and once of
the Park Head road onto the quarry parapet road, the views along the
Duddon Valley to the Sca Fells become increasingly better with lovely
views from the summit. Today was a bit dull and grey for all that
though, and the blue skies of last week have disappeared! Photo's are
