Headed North and East to miss the worst of the weather and
were rewarded by staying dry but certainly wind blown.
Parked at the Allargue hotel car park after speaking to the
hotel and being assured there was no problem leaving the car
in their car park, surprising as it is quite small but Well
Done the Allargue Hotel for a very open minded approach to
visiting walkers. The hill is very straightforward with a
land rover track going all the way directly to the cairn.
amazing though to climb this hill and see cars on the road
at almost the same height. two hours took us up and down so
a quick move up to the picnic area and the walk in to Carn
Mor. took the track up past the butts on the flank of Carn
Liath then the long high level walk out to the summit. Very
windy but very easy walking. Circuit took about
2.5 hours and the rain just started as we arrived back at
the car. A good mornings work and even better for missing
the worst of the weather
