A couple of marilyns in the Clwydian Hills......
Parked at Bwlch Penbarras - no longer free parking - 20 pence for one
hour - one pound sterling all day. Brisk ascent of Foel Fenlli,
stupidly questioned myself during the ascent why cables had been left
on the steep path (obviously very useful on descent!). The Foel Fenlli
summit has great views and a small cairn.
Then back to the car park and along Offa's Dyke Path to Moel Famau.
*** Contentious statement ***
No disrespect to long distance path walkers or their achievements
however my recent experience of these paths are that they are the
equivalent of walkers motorways!!

The Meol Famau summit is a very interesting place - Jubilee Tower, trig
point and great views. Back to the car but not all the way on Offa's
Dyke Path, kept the height a little longer and contoured round the hill
(no name) seen from the car park.
Really lovely short walk, good for all the family and due to the
motorway path appears wheelchair friendly-ish.
Weather conditions ~ Cloud gradually building, light wind in the
valley, brisk wind on summits.
Temperature ~ 12-14C
Distance ~6.5k
Ascent ~380m
42 summits this year......
38 new (1 Outlier, 23 Marilyns, 16 SWEATs, 18 Wainwrights)
2 repeats (1 Wainwright, 1 Marilyn, 1 SWEAT)
