Hi,
Did this yesterday, sat. Seriously humid and warm but low cloud.
The Caledonian Challenge was on but plenty of carpark space.
The path has been very aestheitcally made and avoids the wee gully
up to the ridge, that I did in 1990. From even 50ft below you don't
see the steps snaking up the scree.Very well made.
We got to the ridge and decided that the cloud was supposed to lift
at midday so we trekked off to the far end munro then back to Stob Dearg.
We did the top then started ten mins down the scree slope to the 860m
contour
then gave up since my parents dog was struggling and would really struggle
on the
way backup it as well.
Headed back then up Stob Dearg.
Back down the good path in the corrie. Very fast descending.
