Today I had a walk to the far eastern fells from Longsleddale, up to
Gatesgarth Pass and the onto Branstree and Selside Pike, then doubling
back to Tarn Crag and Grey Crag. The weather promised much but the sun
never shone and the day remained quite overcast, although warm. At
least it was better than the last time I was there - then I nearly got
snowed in; another half an hour and I definitely wouldn't have been
able to get the car out! Photo's are posted:

really pushing it (as the start of the walk looks easy)? Also how damp under foot was it around Tarn Crag/Grey Crag?
Great TR & walk, with four Wainwrights I'm keen to do this year!
