Yes, after the cliff walk on Sunday in Dorset, Clare and I were back inland
on the rolling South Downs northeast of Arundel, West Sussex. Bright and
sunny morning, with puffy clouds to add interest to the sky, made the
setting for an excellent outing.
Started east from above Storrington, along the South Downs Way, turning
south just after Sullington Hill. Once below Church Hill, it was west onto
the Monarch's Way, passing Myrtle Grove Farm, before turning back north.
After a short coffee break, we continued around the western side of Harrow
Hill and down to Lee Farm. A short section further west and we started back
north at Wepham Down, eventually rejoining the South Downs Way east of
Rackham Hill. We were left with a short walk back to the car park.
Great 11 mile walk in glorious countryside. Photo slideshow from along the
route at the web address below.
