TR: Back o' Skiddaw

That looks like a very long walk to me, especially in this weather
(even if it has cooled a little)! It makes me feel concious about my
lack of fitness. Scotland seems to have come out more clearly than
usual (I don't often see colour in it, just the outline).

It's not really surprising that most of these fells are largely
ignored, but I've always found that once you get up on them I've
really enjoyed myself. Perhaps it's something to do with not having to
watch every footstep, but it's very satisfying striding along. The
High Street ridge is a good one for that, finishing with a boat ride
back to Glenridding making an excellent end to the day.

Yes, it was long but the conditions were just right with a nice coling
breeze on the tops, although it was baking in the dips.

In places, true, in others, not. The lingy fells were tussocky,
heathery and boggy - just right for twisting your ankle really.

Off what paths there are. I've not done too much in that area (aside
from Bowscale Fell, which I've been up several times), and recall the
fellsides as being pretty tough going, but if you find a path on a
ridge its great. Well, I find myself feeling pretty happy when I'm up
there, anyway.

I still can't see it here. All the others are there, but I'm getting a
nothing for the Back o' Skiddaw one. A bit of poking around makes it
look like my browser isn't working out where the filename ends and the
alt tag begins. Weird. Works fine in another one. Anyway, looks like
the problem is at my end.

Hmm, I'll have to check to see if you say photo' for the singular :-)
The OED has photo (pl. photos) as a separate word these days.
