Thanks Steve, that sunlit dead tree looked really weird
against the dark clouds.
The display code of our pan player doesn't use plugins and
doesn't need any other external software modules at all,
that was one my design criteria when I wrote it. It is done
purely with javascript and css, which is cross-platform and
works on Linux and Apple-Mac too.

Aaaargh!!!. That's twice I've fallen foul of that recently.
Some graphics apps give files a .jpg extension but others
give upper case .JPG, which works fine from the hard disk
here, but the website Apache servers are case-sensitive.
