The cheats are getting caught. The 'men in black' are being named. Fellow pro tour riders are so ****** that finally they are venting to the press. They protest at the start of a stage--but this time protesting the cheats, vice their protest against the drug raids on Festina in 98 (98?)
Is this the doom of cycling---or finally the sport turning the corner, riding out of the gloom and into the warm sun?
Watch the youTube snippet of Greg Lemond, talking about the dopers, after he testified at the Landis hearing a few months ago--he said summat like, ''the house of cards is cracking''.....wow--how they've fallen big time and will still fall. Lemond vindicated once AGAIN.

Armstrong never got caught (saved by a bungled test in '99?)--but did he ride clean after his '96 admission to the Andrieu's and cancer Doc's that he had ridden dirty??
We'll probably never know--I still think Lance will take the truth to his grave so as not to destroy his own cancer foundation.
No wonder Phil Liggett advocates lifetime ban for first offense--how many hundreds of times has he commented on some guy's unbelievable performance in a race or stage, only to be burned later on by finding out the guy was doping. Tom Boonen agrees. Jens Voigt probably also--I just read this morning their comments after the latest to be booted from the tour (Kylling). Good to hear that other cyclists are finally so fed up that they'll talk about it.
It's especially tough this year to endure the two black eyes that two of the supposedly best Danish cyclists have been caught out--Riis and Kylling. I ride with a local club in Denmark when we visit the wife's family. I love Denmark and the Danes--and they love cycling. Danish cycling fans of course have known for years that Riis did the EPO dance to win the Tour in '96, but in true Danish fashion just low-keyed it and didn't let it bother them all that much. Riis was still pretty much a Danish sports hero, as far as I know, until now.
How long until a cycling apparel manufacturer makes a nice, well-designed jersey that says summat like ''no cheats. no doping. pure sweat and hard work''
I'd buy it and wear it proudly
