Torque wrench recommendation.

First....run, don't walk, to your LBS and buy some carbon assembly paste. Park Tool and other brands are fine. This adds friction. Friction is better for your bike seatpost and frame than a cracked seat tube from over-tightening the clamp.

Second, Bike Nashbar, Ribble...Hell, all the mail order houses sell a decent $50-$75 1/4" drive torque wrench and they are perfectly serviceable...but...

You might want to look into a pair of CDI, Park Tool or any of the other reputable brands of pre-set torque wrenches. Maybe one in the 5 Nm range and one in either 4 Nm or 6 Nm. That's what I use.

I settled on this one

A little more expensive than the others, but the seat post bolt is on the top tube and is a little hard to reach. I will make sure to get carbon paste, but the seat post had a fresh coat on already. Do I just coat the previously uncovered part or wipe and recoat?

You can go to Menards, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. and buy longer Hex and Torx bits. The 1/4" Hex drive style comes in 1", 2", 4" and 6" lengths if access is a problem.

There are also magnet equipped extensions sold that only cost a couple dollars.
